Interests and Personality
| Biography | Peter was born in Gloucester, 1979. He studied at Stroud School of Art in the Cotteswolds before finishing a Degree in Illustration in 2002. Since then he has been showing regularly on his own or as part of a collective. He Moved to Oxford in March 2006 where he works as an Art Technician and since then has been showing work at The David Simon Gallery, Bristol and Gallery Hadley, Thame, near Oxford.
His work is very much about truth to materials and how their nature can be used to create tactile, arresting images. No brushes are used, just the pallette knife. Just enough Linseed oil is used for blending the colour and in areas the paintings are finished off with a gloss varnish to aid the lighting effects. |

Hi I love your paintings. I don't usually like the use of the knife technique in painting but you have proven me wrong.
