| Biography | Grew up copying spaceships out of comics and never really grew out of it.
Moved around a lot (London, Derbyshire, Leeds) but am now settled down in Nottingham (I'm pretty good at avoiding the drive-bys) with my wife Helen who's due to have a baby at Christmas. I'm writing this on 21st of Dec so it's all really scary and exciting at the moment!! Any day now I’m going to have a baby! Blimey!! Deep breaths, calm thoughts, try not to panic… |
| Interests | Do I have to put art? Art. Writing, photography (we do the best wedding photography ever!), drinking too much beer, other people - no wait, does that sound poncy?
Really like travelling - especially Eastern Europe (all that brilliant gothic architecture, cold weather and really, really cool little cellar bars). |
| Music | Lots of recent stuff that I really like - Dirty Pretty Things, the new Razorlight album, Holloways, Cold War Kids, Arctics, Gossip. Also like bluesy stuff - Seasick Steve (old school blues singer), Alabamma 3 (saw them recently at a really small venue in Nottm), Robert Johnson, Billie Holiday etc.
But... also love all those big-haired soft rock singers from the 80s (screaming out BonJovi lyrics at 3am - can't beat it!). In fact I like a lot of stuff from the 80s. Boom Shake the Room. Oh god - and I started off so well! |
| Films | Singing in the Rain! Big Lebowski, (whilst drinking White Russians), Withnail and I (whilst drinking everything in the house), um..The Muppet Movie...Peter Greenaway. Empire Strikes Back (I'm a nerd). Anything French. Kids movies - actually it's a good thing that I'm about to have a kid as it gives me a cover story for owning all these cartoons. |
| Television | Ok right I'm getting the hang of this now... Black Books, Spaced, Cartoons, Dr Who (told you I was a nerd), 24 (when it makes sense), Battlestar Galactica (which never makes sense but I like all the pretty colours). The muppets, even that one with the lighthouse and the dog - Fraggles! Even Fraggles. |

Comics - anyone read Garth Ennis? Love the Preacher series (apparently they're making a TV show, don't know if that works), Frank Miller (all the Sin City stuff), and Ultimate Spiderman! Yay! |

Cambridge Art Fair
I'm exhibiting here for the first time, it takes place between 4th June - 7th June 2009. Big, well attended event and well worth a visit (they have a vineyard too!)
20th June - exhibiting at the Brick Lane Gallery in London (www.thebricklanegallery.com) as part of Art Addict display.
