Hey Frankie. Thanks for the nice compliments. I still think my art is a work in progress so I keep pushing away at it. I know what you are saying about projects that seem to drag on. That's why I moved over from watercolor to pastel. It is much faster for me. I generally try to put so much detail in my watercolor and that's probably good but it seems to drag on forever. I can only paint for so many hours a day because of a degenerative disc and I don't like spending many days at one painting. Seem to lose the inspiration and drive after a while. Do what you can.

Hey Frankie. Have you checked out wetcanvas.com A great source for people looking for inspiration and honing their art Enjoyed reading your background, I also like Big Fish, one of my all time favorites. Don't know how inspiring or insightful I might be but I welcome you to visit my personal site www.marcusmoller.com Keep at it. If you have time to read you have time for art..well maybe.

Thank you for the nice words, Frankie! I have been painting icons for 30 years and now more than ever, people are gaining a deeper appreciation for this art form. A few weeks ago, the Ecumenical Patriarch of the Orthodox Church was interviewed by Bob Simon of 60 Minutes. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=6001717n One point has Simon in Cappodocia in Turkey. The icons are painted on the walls are over 1000 years old in churches that are literally carved out of the side of mountains. I hope you can take a look.

Hello again Frankie, the most important thing about painting and Art is to enjoy it! There are many ways to paint, one can paint without drawing or one can spend a great deal of time struggling for perfection the main thing is dear to enjoy your Art! You have the talent, you have the ability and you have the passion that is all an artist ever needs. Hold one of your paintings facing the mirror and look at the reflection and you will see exactly what needs changing; for me, a good drawing makes a good painting. I taught myself by copying Old Master many artist do this. Don't stress yourself, relax and enjoy your Art. There is nothing wrong of squaring off a picture you want to copy many Artist do this, I use it. Relax enjoy you Art and practice. best regards Anthony.

It seems that I have been left "private messages" and I would love to respond to whomever wrote them but I can not. It says that the user is deleted. Every time anyone leaves me a private message it says this. So if you have left me one and I did not respond, I am sorry. I just couldn't. :( Kate, I see that you have left me one and I thank you ever so much for your words. :) I would love to keep in touch with you but I am not sure where you are! :)
