| Biography | My name is Jennifer. I was born and raised in Huntington, WV. I come from a family of diverse professionals who have inspired and motivated me to reach my dreams. I've been painting & active in athletics since a young age. I was involved in competition and nationally ranked. After 10 years of competing, I lost my passion for twirling and decided to pursue my interest in the arts. I've learned that my best qualities are strength, persistence & determination. In the summer of 2003 I painted my first oil painting. I realized that by painting it let me release my feelings. I can express my feelings and create works that brighten and inspire. My work today has a strong connection to color, people, places & the world today. It also gives a feeling of retro and times with a hint of tomorrow. Being a female in a superficial world, I have a tendency to feature women in my work as inspiration. I primarily work w/ acrylics, oil pastels, and oil paint on canvas. |
