| Biography | I am 44 years old and I live in central Stockholm and work part time in a bakery. My major education is in natural sciences and got my PhD-degree in physical chemistry in -95. I worked as a scientist for some years after. The jobs within my field are very few, and I got unemployed three years ago. This was a good time to develope other sides of myself and I started to paint more regulary. I have painted on and off since I was a teenager, using all kinds of media, such as watercolors, pastel, acrylics and oil. It is only the last two years that I have started to paint nudes and portraits. |

Hi Matte, I've just seen your work. I really like it especially the texture used - it's like oil pastels with thick coatings.. very nice - even the shadows/light techniques they are very good.. :)

Matte, Your work is beautiful, great shadows. Your the first person I've heard of who has left a life of science/technology and pursued art full time. Good for you. I'm a mechanical engineer and I fantasize about it about once an hour!
