Interests and Personality
| Biography | P. Charters d’Azevedo was born in Lisbon on the 3rd November, 1946.
A self-taught artist, he began to draw and paint regularly in 1998. His public activity began in 1999, being exclusively dedicated to painting from the year 2000. In 2001 he enrols in the Painting Course of the “Sociedade de Belas Artes”, which he attends but does not finish. He has, up to now, participated in dozens of exhibitions.
The Pedro Charters d'Azevedo Paintings translate the dichotomy painter-creator, imposed by the artist to his works. |
| Interests | At first sight, the fact that he has been painting and drawing regularly since 1998, may lead us to have a limited idea that his artistic course is brief, a perspective that does not, however, invalidate the intensity and individual and collective exhibitions.
The continuous crossing of intrinsic emotions, and the constant daily discoveries, frames the art that serenely flows from the Pedro Charters d'Azevedo paintings, on an equilibrium that the painter works especially on acrylic canvas, although using also a diversity of techniques, such as water-colours, crayon, chine ink and dry pastel paintings. |

Susuie, one of the friends listed at your site, is ill. A get well letter would do her heart good and cheer her up a bit. We live in a world that does not apriciate art. We must care for eachother. So leave a post on he board if you have time. L John TOX
