| Biography | Artiste peintre autodidacte originaire d'Oran, Faiza Maghni vit et travaille à Paris depuis une dizaine d'années.
"La peinture a été pendant longtemps une envie plus ou moins inconsciente et totalement occultée qui s'est imposée tout naturellement par la suite"....
Fascinée par les miniature perses, la calligraphie arabe ,mais aussi par l'art tribal et la peinture contemporaine .elle s'en inspire dans son travail et crée ainsi son propre univers.
Faiza tente de traduire à travers ses portraits ,la beauté et la complexité de la femme , symbolisés dans ses toiles par la richesse du costume et l'expression énigmatique du regard.
Sa démarche dans l'expression abstraite rejoint l'univers de ses portraits.
C'est un clin d’œil à l'univers féminin . |

There is this 1930-40 look to these paintings that i adore, i have a suggestion. I would love to see a portrait of Edith Piaf, i think you would capture the time peroid of her great music.
