BiographyJeff Hughart began painting in 2002 and is a self-taught and self representing artist and who primarily work in acrylics. Jeff sells his paintings in gallery shows, on his website and by appointment from his private studio in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He also creates well-priced smaller paintings, works on paper, and high-quality giclee prints. He has sold close to one thousand paintings so far. He is pleased to have hundreds of savvy and sophisticated collectors from around the world. They tell him that my paintings are quite addictive. His paintings are described as raw, emotional, colorful and energetic. No doubt that they are influenced by his punk rock past. His paintings are also influenced by the work of some of my favorite artists—Basquiat, Matisse, Picasso, Dubuffet, Twombly, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollack, and Lucien Freud to name a few.
