Gunnel Karel ( born Segerstrale ) originally comes from Finland.
She is a self taught artist, born with a gift of many colours. She comes from a large Artistic Family. On her fathers side, LENNART SEGERSTRALE, A LEGENDARY FAMOUS ARTIST for his Altar Paintings and Frescoes in churches and Government Buildings throughout Finland.
Gunnel Karel takes a special interest in nature, bringing out the beauty and tranquillity, but also the raw power of the sea in action, which she finds fascinating to paint and is her favourite subject mostly in oil with several layer of paints to bring out the depth of the waves.
